Important Highlights

  • Tales of the Valiant received an assortment of additional content, improvements, and bug fixes. See below for more details.
  • Characters and campaign elements (encounters and cast members) that are in the trash currently remain there indefinitely until you manually restore or permanently delete them. Beginning on March 27th, items in the trash will be automatically deleted after 30 days. You may want to review what items you have accumulated in the trash and consider restoring them before this takes place.

Additional Content & Improvements for Tales of the Valiant

  • TV - Die rolls for spells and abilities have now been implemented.
  • TV - The Ritualist talent now grants a ritual book which can be used to add rituals.
  • TV - The blood spike armor is now available.
  • TV - Spell scrolls are now available.
  • TV - Spell adjustments are now available.
  • TV - NPCs are now available.
  • TV - Weapons and armor will report error messages before they are purchased if you are not proficient with them.
  • TV - Controls to roll death saves will now appear on the Play tab when a character reaches 0 HP.

UI Changes and Improvements

  • Campaigns - Overhauled the character options interface
    • There is now separate navigation group called "Character Options"
    • There is a new "Options Summary" view underneath this group that summarizes all character options, and includes links to the separate views to manage each of them.
    • The 3 character options views are now named "Default Options", "Shared Options", and "Rules Sources" to clarify the options found within.
    • Revised the presentation of the character options views for visual clarity
  • Campaigns - The Player-safe Stage View now automatically opens in a new window, for ease of use when streaming/screen-sharing, etc.
  • Campaigns - Moved converting an NPC to a PC from being on a tab under the "Move to..." menu option to a top-level item "Make PC..." for consistency with the mirror option "Make NPC..."
  • Campaigns - Moved the External Integration (e.g. VTT) options from a button in the settings view to the bottom of the settings view itself.
  • Dice Roll History - Damage types are now displayed without needing to expand the history item
  • Dice Roll History - Expanded character name display when seen in the main view
  • Dice Roll History - Misc layout improvements

Bug Fixes

  • TV - Fighters, rogues, and wizards were not becoming proficient in their saving throws.
  • TV - Fighters were not able to select whether to become proficient in STR or DEX saves.
  • PF2 - Using the Customize option on a weapon of non-Medium size would reset the size of the weapon to Medium.
  • PF2 - An alchemist who knows more than 100 formulas was not showing all of them on the list of alchemical items to prepare.
  • PF2 - The Extra Damage ability wasn't applying its damage to custom weapons.
  • PF2 - Weapons and armor were displaying a table to add spells in their customization window.
  • SF - A solarian using the Enhanced Solarian rules from Starfinder Enhanced was being granted the Nimble Moves feat, regardless of their attunement status.
  • PF1 - The fighter's Armored Master advanced armor training option wasn't displaying a table to select its bonus feat.
  • PF1 - The monk's AC bonus wasn't being displayed on the Play tab.
  • PF1 - The monk's Flurry of Blows ability wasn't being disabled if the character was wearing armor.
  • PF1 - Ammunition was not calculating its stack size and quantity remaining correctly once some of the stack had been consumed.
  • Campaigns - Fixed "Campaign is inactive" error message incorrectly showing immediately after retiring a campaign
  • Campaigns - Fixed pop-out views (Dice Roll History, and now Player-safe stage) causing nav and side panels to be collapsed after use.
  • Fixed "Campaign 'undefined' is inactive and cannot be accessed" error message incorrectly appearing in rare circumstances
  • Fixed choices overlapping in the choose form which could occur under specific conditions after adding something to a character
  • Fixed customizing an item in a game other than PF1 ignoring the configured item size
  • When customizing an existing item, fixed the item size being reset to the default equipment size for that character
